Planning Update

05 Apr 2011

As those of you who have attended any of our consultation events or kept an eye on this website may recall, we intended to submit our planning application for the site in late March.

We are currently analysing each of the comments from the Community Council and people who emailed us, wrote to us or completed questionnaires before our 14 March deadline.  To make sure that we explore everyone's suggestions and all the potential design solutions before submitting our planning application, we have decided not to rush this but to allow more time.  We believe it is worth investing as much time as it takes in order to get to the best design solution that we can.

We anticipate that it will take us a few weeks to properly explore all the design possibilities.  This is simply because we need to discuss a number of technical requirements like parking, access, drainage and bin storage.

Once we have established a clear date for submitting the planning application, we will post an update on this website.  We will also update the website when the planning application has been submitted and registered by the City Council, and make the planning application drawings and reports available here for free download.

If you are an immediate neighbour of the site, the City Council are required by law to notify you by letter when the planning application is submitted; if you are unsure of the definition of "neighbour", we suggest that you contact the City Council's development management section for clarification (part of the Development and Regeneration Services department).  The Council will also notify the Community Council of the planning application.
